Open Doors for Youth is taking a monumental step forward in our mission to combat youth homelessness with the launch of The Next Door, our new Transitional Housing Program opening July 2026!

 

What is transitional housing? Transitional housing provides a safe and supportive living environment for a fixed period of time (18-24 months), bridging the gap between a state of homelessness and permanent housing. It offers young people a stable home while they gain the skills and resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency.

The first two years of this critical project are being funded through the Homeless Youth Act Grant from the State of Minnesota, a powerful testament to the state's commitment to prioritizing and investing in youth homelessness prevention and their belief in our community-based, youth-centered approach.
