The Next Door
Transitional Housing Program
Open Doors for Youth is taking a monumental step forward in our mission to combat youth homelessness with the launch of The Next Door, our new Transitional Housing Program
What is transitional housing? Transitional housing provides a safe and supportive living environment for a fixed period of time (18-24 months), bridging the gap between a state of homelessness and permanent housing. It offers young people a stable home while they gain the skills and resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency.
The first two years of this critical project are being funded through the Homeless Youth Act Grant from the State of Minnesota, a powerful testament to the state's commitment to prioritizing and investing in youth homelessness prevention and their belief in our community-based, youth-centered approach.
Information for potential residents can be found here.
