Support for whatever comes next
Whether you need immediate essentials, housing support, or someone to talk things through with, we're here for you.
“I need food, clothing, hygiene supplies, or a safe place to go.”
Open Doors for Youth provides a safe, welcoming Drop-In Center where young people can access meals, clothing, hygiene products, computers, internet access, and other everyday essentials.
“I don’t have a safe or stable place to live, and I don’t know what my options are.”
Case managers help youth explore housing options, connect with community resources, and take practical steps toward greater stability. The Next Door also provides longer-term transitional housing for eligible youth.
“I need someone I can trust to help me find the right resources.”
Staff connect youth with mental health support, dental and healthcare resources, employment and education services, workshops, and other trusted community providers.
Who we are
A place where young people feel welcome, valued, and supported.
Open Doors for Youth was founded after local community members identified a critical gap: young people in our area were experiencing homelessness and housing instability, yet few services existed specifically to support them.
Since opening our doors in 2015, we've provided a safe, welcoming space where youth can access essential resources, build trusted relationships, and find support on their path toward stability and independence. Today, we remain the only organization in Sherburne and eastern Wright counties solely dedicated to serving youth experiencing homelessness.
