Open Doors for Youth is a drop-in resource center in Elk River, MN.

We serve youth (16 - 24) who are experiencing homelessness

or housing instability.

We provide a safe and welcoming place at our center, where young people can get assistance with immediate needs. We make connections to service providers in the community who help them with goals in the areas of employment, education, housing, and well-being.

Recognizing that each person has unique needs, experiences, abilities and dreams, we meet the youth where they are in life and walk with them on their personal journey toward greater stability and well-being.

ABOUT US

VISION

Open Doors for Youth strives to create communities in which youth experiencing homelessness find hope and feel supported and valued.

MISSION

To create a welcoming and safe environment for youth experiencing homelessness, where working together we remove barriers, empowering youth to move towards positive and healthy networks of support, personal well-being, and housing stability.

CORE VALUES

We mobilize the community to address youth homelessness and housing instability through advocacy and awareness.

We partner with local organizations, service providers, government entities, and volunteers to meet the needs of homeless youth.

We assist youth in setting goals, pursuing creative solutions, building positive and healthy relationships, and removing barriers to personal well-being without judgment.

We believe in our youth and will nurture potential, promote dignity, and support bold steps by all.
